Known to its residents as “The Forest” and to others as Myrtle Beach’s “bedroom community” the unincorporated portion of Horry County between Myrtle Beach and Conway has much more to offer than just a place to sleep.

In addition to its many family-friendly neighborhoods, this rapidly developing area also now offers plenty of great amenities. Ranging from top-notch schools to elaborate shopping centers, the area’s offerings include a tone of retail locations, a bevy of businesses and a variety of restaurants and bars.

There’s even a brand-new library and community center which now serve as the central gathering place for a community that’s quickly gaining its own, distinct identity.

Thanks to a variety of factors it’s become one of the most popular places in town to live in recent years.

There is plenty of great real estate in North Myrtle Beach to enjoy if you want to live just outside of downtown Myrtle Beach. Contrary to common perceptions, North Myrtle Beach is its own city with its own rules and regulations.
